2 Blogs

I'm not sure how to do this and i might change them but here are two that i thought were interesting.

I thought this was really interesting because it took a piece of Beethoven's music and broke it a part. I thought it was interesting that different themes that he played were similar to some of what Motzart had. I also think that it is really neat that there is always a theme behind the music. Like the first movement is more sad or depressing and then for the second it moves into something more happy and then later the recapitulation is obviously sad or mystical again.
i think that it is awsome how some of this music can be played even though it is so difficult/intricate.

Mr. Hood suggested this and i found a particular article/ video that was really neat!

The crazy way that this gye played the piano was really neat and awsome! I think it was really cool that he plucked the strings to get a certain sound that he couldn't have gotten by just playing.

The "dumbest generation"

After reading the article i can see why Bauerlein says that our generation is "dumb" because we do not know lots of the things that past generations know, or do the same things, but instead spend time on the computer. I think that the older generation should show the younger ones how to use the technology properly so that they can learn information. Lots of teen agers spend too much time playing games and things like that on the computer which can be a waste of the time that they would have otherwise spent reading or something, but technology isn't a bad thing if it is used in the right way. There are lots of things on line that we can learn from, we just need to know how to use the technology properly.
I was surprised about some of the things that they said that teens didn't know, but other things (like lake superior) are just random facts and can't really show if someone is dumb or not. There are lots of things on the internet that are useful tools and things like facebook just help people to connect to each other...what's wrong with that? When people don't spell right with Aim they are just being informal, but that doesn't mean that they don't know how to spell the words. When students right papers, they spell the words out.
Bauerlein has a lot of information that shows that this generation doesn't know as many facts (or the same kind of facts) and lots of them might use technology for purposes other than gaining knowledge, but that doesn't mean that they are dumb or that they don't use technology to gain information as well. If they learn how to use technology properly, they can learn a lot from it.
